| knab rock Friday 29th Managed to persuade mike that knab rock would be comfortable fishing with a good chance of picking up some "banker" points for the SH as we need pout, flounder and scorpion fish which are quite abundant down there. forecast was good when i saw it...thursday morning  when i got there it was howling north easterly ...easy 20 to 25mph gusts. Mike turned up gave me the obligitory look to say you T**t.....ok the wind did die off a bit....but then we were caught in a blizzard...and did i mention it was freezing...coldest i've been this winter anyway the fishing....plenty to keep us occupied,and the wind dropped all evening we had whiting, codling...nothing big best to mike about 3/4lb...also should mention mike christened his new rod with a 5 beard slug...i mean rockling....i thought we had one already in an attempt to keep my hands in my pockets so i didn't have to photograph it for the species hunt...oops...we have a 3 beard but no 5!!!.... never mind all other species had obviously be naughty and no points for us this week. will have to send mike out fishing all weekend now on the boat with instructions he's not allowed home until he gets at least 2 species!! __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |
