| pembroke 'wooltack point' fishing report hello all we started fishing at wooltack point at 11am with low water about midday, it looked awesome and we both felt lucky, we fished there untill 4pm with 1 bite and no fish, it is verry deep there (25ft at low water) and very rocky we lost about 6 traces each snags in close and out far but has a lot of potential. we didnt want to blank so we moved to a new spot about 10min walk away and fished from 4:30pm untill 6pm with not a bite so off we went, by now we where feeling low and disheartened so on our way home (1hr drive) i talked my brother into one last chance so we stoped in milford haven wall at 7pm and started again lol. first cast bite as soon as it hit the water and all 5 rods where like that for the next two hours (we had a fish a cast on all the rods but thay where all small tho, bigest 1lb) by that time we couldnt feel our fingers so we called it a day i think i would definately fish (wooltack) again in the summer for bass:) cant wait lol ![]() all in all it was a good day, the sea was calm and not that cold in the day and most importantly it was dry lol shame no 10lb cod tho |

| Re: pembroke 'wooltack point' fishing report Wooltack is not really renowned for it's bass fishing (but you do get them there), but pollack and wrasse yes also conger to 45lb have come from there also bull huss tend to come from there in numbers from about March onwards, mackerel come off there in numbers from about june onwards but not really when the sun is high in the sky illuminating them against the surface they tend to go low in the water then. Best tides I found were 11.4 to 12.2m on the Cardiff scale but it does also produce on smaller tides but it is a bit difficult to hold in bigger tides. As for moving I think that is quite obvious to move if you are not catching, well done on a few fish from the Haven |
