| boat last saturday then barrage monday. COLD! Bloody cold! Boat last saturday was an eventful day. Four of us trying out an Arvar for one of Dans mates. Fishing was suprisingly rubbish but did at least catch my first thornback ray ever estimated at 10lb ish. It went back to grow another day. Monday me and my mate Ian went down and had an enjoyable (if somewhat slow ) day catching about 10 cod a piece of the barrage at Cardiff. Well I say caught, I actually suspect the rag were mugging them on the way past as none were more than a couple of ounces at best. Also had a couple of very small whiting too. Fished size 4 or 2 hooks on a three hook trace but it was only the bottom hook that was catching. Way I look at it is that the other two were putting down a scent trail. Glorious sunny day after the - 6 start and we both enjoyed it. Chub next :) __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk     |
