| cardiff foreshore 27th feels like i've been in the house for weeks!!!! I had flu before Christmas which laid me up for the best part of 2 weeks and then christmas spent absolutley smashed and eating everything in sight i had to get out. my wife bought me a new tripod for xmas so a quick call into tacklemart in splott...first time i've used it and must say- had some good worm, don't know if its farmed, i'll ask next time i'm in there. surprisingly quiet down the foreshore...i was the first there and made my way towards the monkey pole, only 5 other anglers turned up. quiet for the first hour or so then the whiting and codling arrived nothing big but a bit of fun. just before high water i had a knock and a slackline bite which i wound into and had some good resistance, best whiting i've had in years no camera or phone so didn't get a pick but i recon about 1 1/2lb at a guestimate and had to be 19-20" long. the whiting and codling carried on all through the ebb until i ran out of bait about 4.15 which is a shame as i always fing it fishes its best 1 1/2 to 2 1/2hrs down. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |
