| Penarth Report 26/10/2004 Fished Penarth beach, western end, by the Lifeboat from 2pm through to 8.30pm, right up from Low Water. Very pleasant afternoon in the sun, very little wind, and a nice comfortable beach. Rocky, but no tackle losses to report. Fished with Yellowtail, Squid, Mackeral and Rolled Blacks, but only 1 Whiting and 2 Pouting between 4 rods - blimey, a bit quiet. Talking to the locals revealed that there had been a large competition there on the Sunday before, with a similar lack of success. All 3 fish came just before high-water on rolled blacks. Hmmm, perhaps we should have gone to Cardiff ForeShore!! Cheers, JB. |
