Cardiff Barrage - Might have been 2 Jan.

Well we had to do it .

Dan, Ian and me went down the barrage.

Hour and half in, two out.

Rag , sometimes tipped with Macky, small hooks.

Ended up with pin whiting (at least we didn't blank), weren't exactly being beaten from the next peg as no one appeared to be catching much.

Better than a day behind the telly and we did stop to buy Ian a pint for catching a whale of a 4 oz fish.

It's that Easterly then.

Back to the midlands where I will spend some days waiting for the temperature to rise, the melt water to kill sport dead then the spring floods.

Of course I'll be out before then.

So that's me signing off the saltwater forum for a couple of months and back to maggot drowning (it's a long cast from Dudley).
