After the recent disasters with the bass i decided to give the hounds a go.

spoke to mike who was going to come...boy would that have been a turn up for the books....getting a charter skipper off his boat and onto the shore is akin to getting a hermit crab out of its shell.

anyway didn't go as planned, couldn't get any crab anywhere and the forecast was rain which on this mark is a big no no as the rocks become like glass so called mike and told him.

thn about 3pm a mate in swansea said he had a dozen and a half crab and it wasn't raining...off i shot still feeling a bit guilty about mike but that lasted until second gear

gear used 3oz weights, 2 1/2foot flourocarbon hooklengths lobbed 40 yards

things startd good with a solid knock and a small hound on the scond cast about 2 1/2 - 3lb...and not ven dark yet!!

but it wasn't to be.....i think we may have emptied oxwich of doggies...i managed 3 on 1 bait before changing it.

then on high tide another bettr bite and another small hound...

not the size fish we were after but better than nothing, maybe too much tide...it was 12.5 metrs!!!!

nothing else to report apart from more en-mass dental work for the doggies.
