| Aberthaw Sat 23.08.08 Took the boat down to Aberthaw on Sat - went down on the dropping tide and fished 3 hours down and one up. The fishing was very slow on the drop. Didn't get a fish until low water, then had a very nice 25lb conger. No hounds in sight - from a mark that I usually do very well from. Finished the day with 2 congers, a small cod and a baby tope. The weather wasn't great so I came back a little earlier than planned as it feels a long way from home down there. Unfortunately the fish seemed to be coming on as the tide turned and I left for home. Better safe than sorry. Got a good soaking on the way home.  On the plus side - the conger is the biggest fish I've had on the boat and a conger pb for me!  Regards KKyum PS I am looking for fishing buddies to help share the costs of taking the boat out. | Re: Aberthaw Sat 23.08.08 Well done KKYum, I went down there on Friday. My mate had a conger of 11lb and the wind got up so we had to come home early too. Punched against the tide both ways because of the bad forecast again.
