the tide time was perfect being 10pm but a bit on the large side....being over 12m.

with the weather forecasters getting it wrong again....forecast dying south westerlies...what occurred was howling westerlies...a quick call round and decided to fish oxwich church rock...which may have been a bit dodgey as these particular rocks are absolutley deadly once there wet...so we were praying for no rain!!!

set up 7pm with bass rods 3oz weights and crab baits gently lobbed 50 yards out...and waited ....and waited...and waited... nothing not even doggies

then all hell broke loose, my rod tried flying off its rest, struck and couldn't do anything with it...20-30yards of line taken before i could make an impression...really good fight and just as we were getting it within netting range it took another deep dive and my hooklength pinged on the rocks and.........

next in was alan who had this lovely common of dead on 11lb...then while this was being landed another of the guys hooked a decent fish on his second rod...with nice small hooks......straighted lovely at the waters edge!!!

10 minutes later one of the guys was into another one and this one was even better at just over 12lb...unfortunately no picture of this one

then as quick as they appeared they vanished.

i had to settle for three or four doggies to keep the dreaded blank at bay.
