Hi all Mib boat angling club had their smoothound leg on Sunday.
Two boats were used Kobe & Benjoma Too, we locked out at 6am to catch the tide down to Aberthaw.
Armed with squid & crab we arrived at the venue on the Kobe while Benjoma went a little further down the coast.
Lines went in the water at 7.20am on both boats & almost immediately smoothounds appeared.Gary Jenkins with his red Peelers did the damage on the boat landing 9 fish nearly all were in double figures I ended up with 4 hounds 3 conger and a double figure huss.along with a few dogs.
all in all a great day out with 30 hounds between 6 on the Kobe and 36 hounds between 9 on the Benjoma.
Biggest hound fell to steve maidment fishing the Benjoma.

Mike chadwick did lose a big conger that was having none of his bullying tactics and decided to head for lundy on slack water, it bit through the trace after 8 minutes

I was let down with crab supply and only had two dozen crab, one dozen devon peelers and one dozen frozen softies but i had two fish on each bait before running out about 3 hours before the end.
