| Taking My Brother And Niece Fishing In North Wales If anyone could offer some advice or point me in the right direction on the following I'd really appreciate it. My brother and I hope to arrange a couple of days fishing in North Wales in a few weeks time - from Friday 6th June to Sunday 8th June. We'll be taking my niece, who is also a keen angler (my brother taught her well!!). We'll either be taking a tent or booking a b&b for a couple of nights. As for the fishing .. we have 3 set ups to take with us at the moment - vintage glass Beachcaster and fixed spool reel (a family friends retirement present from the early 1970s), an 11ft carbon Bass rod with fixed spool reel (been great for Bass and Doggies over the last couple of years) and a 9ft carbon spinning rod with fixed spool reel (loved getting just the one Mackerel at a time with it instead of chucking out 6 feathers on heavy tackle). We'd prefer to fish off a deepish rock mark than off a beach and would like the chance to catch more than the aforementioned Mackerel and Doggies. Could anyone advise on any suitable North Wales venues, where we have the chance of catching a variety of species, close to a decent place to camp or a good b&b. A great local restaurant would be a bonus (it is my birthday on the 7th after all). Many thanks, Steve |
