Friday night a late report

Managed to get out on Friday night to a bitterly cold northerly wind, decided best stay close inshore as forecast wasn't for any improvment, headed to a spot off cardiff foreshore that we thought the fish would be running. funny how many times your logic lets you down, but we stuck it out anyway, i managed a nice thorny at 12lb 2oz in only 11ft of water and that was it, after being stuck inbetween the fight between wind and tide we decided to
move to another spot for the last cople of hors before daylight, this produced a codling for Peter and a pouting, and a small codling for me. headed back in for 7:15 lock and the wind died down (typical). Looking forward to the nice calm summer days now where we can hit the decent marks for the summer species.

Good to be out though apart from the lack of sleep. made uup for it though all day on Sat.

KK- Paul

was on the foreshore till about 9.00 and it ended up flat calm but then again the foreshore was sheltered from the offshoreish wind.
