| managed to get out thursday locked out at 10.00 into a light SW breeze. Headed off to Barry harbour area but failed to locate anywhere decent to drop anchor. So headed back towards Sully island in view of an impending SE gale. Fished there for about 90 mins and caught 1 doggy. Tried to up-anchor only to find it stuck fast. Took about half an hour to free it and headed back to penarth. Fished the mid pool without a bite so as a last resort, headed towards the foreshore and stopped north of the north buoy. Cast uptide armed with 2 whole squid and about 2 mins of it hitting the bottom up came a nice plump codling weighing in at 4.75lb. That was it for the day and like KK in his report........nice tan. __________________ Andy. ------------------- Treat each day as your last, one day you`ll be right. |

| Re: managed to get out thursday Nice one Andy, you can always count on the foreshore area to save the day. looks like the cod are going to hang around for a little while longer, hopefully the weather will improve for April and we can get a few more sessions in for them before we are flooded with Doggies. Hope your tan was more even than mine. ![]() KK |
