oxwich 16/2

have been looking forward to getting out fishing all week and even though metcheck was forecasting 7mph easterly so i went with plan A....well i didn't actually have any other plans.....

lying weather forecasters again...you could hardly stand on oxwich and it was chilling to the bone.

managed to find a nice spot on church rock so that the wind was behind me. Things were looking good....nice bit of wind swell to stir things up and i was actually thinking bass.

one rod out 30yards with whole squid and then a 3 hook flapper lobed 40-50 yards off the rocks with lug, razor and mackeral. Everything looked set for an uncomforatable but enjoyable.

that was the last time the camera came out!!!!!!

had 3 knocks all day and managed a dab about the size of a packet of fags and 2 whiting about 6" long......

nothing to rave about but really glad i got out...foots now sore,,wrist is buggered but at least i felt like i've done something....

Well done on getting out, that picture looks like it was taken on a summers day.

They do say "when the wind is in the East, the fishing is the least"

Re: oxwich 16/2

John,
you did catch though didn't you. That's one of the best fishing photos I've ever seen. I can almost feel that cup of tea in my one hand and the anticipation of a bite. Good job that man.
Pete.

Re: oxwich 16/2

cheers guys

was a lovely day but a very lazy wind...one that doesn't bother going around you but straight through you instead.

good to get out and blow the cobwebs away but a bit too soon for my wrist which has been playing up since. better get better ready for the crab molt or i'm really going to destroy it moving boulders around!!!

john
