no fishing for a while!!!!

Well doesn't look good for fishing at the moment.

especially on the remote marks i like..........

unfortunatley had an accident on the mountain bike a couple of days ago.
30mph top gear and hammering it on very slippery single track and lost it!!!!

monumental crash involving a gate post a farmers gate and a big ditch!!! sum damage in no particular order is a broken wrist, 2 cracked ribs, internal bleeding across my back, cuts and scratches to my leg and did i mention my foot....sharp peddles dug into it and ripped it open like a can of sardines full internal view of the bones tendons, fat etc...bad job and to sum it up they can't stitch it up yet until a consultant nerve doctor has looked at it next week to see if surgery is required...al that can be done in the mean time is to pack it and see if i get feeling back in my toes.......

thank my lucky stars i was wearing my helmet (which i don't do too often) otherwise i doubt i'd be here going by the damage to it.......and to think i got back on the bike and made it the last mile down the track until i managed to find someone while shock kicked in like a hangover after strongbow!!

keep up the reports guys i need to read about fishing now as i can't go!!!!

john

Re: no fishing for a while!!!!

Sounds a bad one John, I hope you do mend soon.

As to the fishing it is a pain being stuck in the house, I hope we can cheer you up with some fishy tales over the coming weeks.

I am just going back to work after 5 months off, but I am getting fit enough to do a bit more fishing, so I know how you feel.

Talking Re: no fishing for a while!!!!

Ah brings back happy memorys of my Mountain Biking days, when I was younger & a few stone lighter. Had a downhill race with a mate. He came off bigtime & almost completely ripped his ear off. On another occasion, whislt riding on Salisbury Plain, a mate of mine almost rode over a camoflaged squaddie hiding in some long grass. Still got a grands worth of Easton Elite, Rockshok & Shimano XT equipped bike gathering dust in my garage. Really ought to start using it again.... Hope you get well soon mate.
