tuesday penarth

Got the 10.00 lock out of penarth on tuesday. A bit windy but stayed in the shelter of the rannie. Silly me got the tide wrong and found me dropping anchor in slack water. An hour later as soon as the tide started ebbing I had my first codling of the day about 2.5lb. Just as I was putting it back in the water my downtider started nodding merrily. Another codling this time nearer 3lb. Unfortunately that was it for the rest of the day. Locked back in at 4.45 without so much as another nibble. Nice to get out though. Two other boats in the lock both blanked which made me feel a bit better.
