Porthcawl Pier 28/12/07

Got up early this morn and arrived at the pier at 6 with 4 other mates, fished the lower tier of the pier, weather held off for a bit then it drizzled for hours, bait used was lug, king rag, maddies, squid, crab, macky, sand eel and blueys. 1 x 6 inch pouting caught between the 5 of us, not a single bite otherwise for 8 hours, the bait was coming back in untouched. Despite the lack of fish it was still enjoyable and the Lougher is gonna have a tuning on Sunday morn with the left over bait.
Fingers crossed it will produce

Happy New Year All

Tightlines

Hem

Good to hear you still enjoyed it, despite the lack of fish.

Shame you didn't get much off the pier fellah, its a bit hit and miss with the fishing recently, though I'd expect you to have got a few more.

Not to worry, its convenient, pain-free fishing. At least you get a nice breakfast bap and warm cups of tea on your day out
