| pb cod hi chaps after not fishing for 6weeks was gagging to wet a line. took the 8.30 lock out armed with the normal baits ie lug squid prawn and a bit of smelly lug frozen after last trip.first hour or so not even a bite, listened in on the radio and the dreaded sprats were in the channel,so thought it was going to be one of those days.then i had what seemed like a whiting bie a few little rattles couple more winds and i thought i had pickedup a load of weed.then it woke up and me thinks this isnt no whiting. five mins later it broke the surface what a sight nice big cod. when landed came to the scales at smack on 15lb. fished on for a couple of hours and we caught another 2 small cod that went back to fight another day.got the 3.30 lock back in with the usual chit chat with other boats saying what a poor day it was. i felt so guilty when showing my fish to the other boats (not)  berted the boat and went home.hope everyone on the forum has a merry xmas and prosperous new year plugger  peter __________________ if at first you dont succeed buy a boat. peter     |
