Re: Cod Boats Penarth

comp cancelled anyway rich

we got there ...blowing a gale and not safe for the small boats...um'd and ard for a bit and thought sod it. the weather forecast from that morning said it would drop off so thought we'd stick it out and it will get calmer through the day.....

well unbelievable hard to stay on your feet and had problems getting the anchor to hold bottom. stayed out a couple of hours only bite i had was of a double sausage sandwich!!!! couple of straps caught and a collective decision made to bugger off to the pub before high water and wind against tide jumped the waves up a couple of foot more!!!(in which case we would have turned the lady helen into a submarine

never mind....at least on the bright side i don't have to buy bait for tomorrows trip and hopefully my number will come up in the raffle off of the prizes tonight.

john
