well done m8, im off down there this weekend i hope.

as for the parking. i believe they let most of the clubs use it now but only on the day of the comp. not for general fishing. they usually park in the carpark on longship road/drive where they have the special for the WRC. just past the monkey pole, and there are cameras and regular security checks all around the docks. (ive been stopped to many times now going to/from work)

much better to have a job somewhere on the docks and the ABP pass does come in handy on a cold winters night

only tiny tides this weekend
i'm going to give it a miss now till the weekend after. these tides the water won't reach the wall. I'm probably going down friday the 14th if you want to take a trip up here.

one of the best nights on the foreshore was when the water was just coming off the beach.

all I had was one codling about 3lb just before high tide then as the water was leaving i had chucked what was left of the bait on the beach.
This was when it went crazy between my mate and myself 3 codling each in about 2 foot of water. never experianced anything like it.
we scratching around in the dark looking for the bait we chucked.

Hi Charlie
Ha what a nightmare that must of been. Im thinking about going up there on the 14th (sunday) high tide is around 9.15 in the morning and it's about a 11.8m. I have been in contact with lazy hooker and he has given me directions, best leave an hour earlier just in case.

Yes huw best spots are usually taken. we used to fish on cods corner just before the wall starts but on my last couple of outings we moved about 50 to 100 yards towards the white pipe from cods corner as you can see the contours of the tide.
a big cast for codling and a short one with whole squid for bass but I have not been lately.

yeah i realised the tides were small this week mate. thought id give it ago though as its my only day off atm. i got a comp on 13th and boat trip on 14th so i cant make it then sorry m8
