| Cardiff Foreshore 28th sept Managed to get the rod repaired alibi a touch shorter but didn't seem to alter the action or bite detection, infact seemed to be that bit better!!! high tide 9pm got down to sheffield installations where i park an took the long walk, right passed some the more well known marks like cod corner and made my way to one of the furthest points nice 40 minute walk which absolutly knackered me. found a place down by the storage cylinders and baited up black lug and crab baits and 6.30 ish managed to start fishing. bites were instant with a couple of whiting coming at the start with the rattling bites, nothing big maybe 10". As soon as there was a bit of water the bites changed to more pronounced nods as the fish were ripping the grips out more manged to land 6 codling in the 1 1/2 to 2lb range. Must add the rip on the ebb was awesome 6 oz weights cast diagnally from the beach and leave the slack to produce a big bow to hold bottom uptide stylee. had to finish about 10.30ish as i'd run out of bait and a lovely walk back which nearly killed me. will put a picture or two up when i'm back in work(works phone) but think the quality will be rubish ut all in all mission accomplished with all returned safely, plenty of codling caught along the beach, if you can put upwith handle big tides (13.5m) then worth a try. john __________________ Catch and Release fishing is a lot like a game of golf. | Re: Cardiff Foreshore 28th sept Hey nice fishing John. Great to hear that these fish went back to fight another day. Have seen other reports of fish under 2lb being kept so well done my friend.
