| mumbles pier 21st had the day off last friday so decided to get bait thursday night and head to one of the gower marks for a bit of a play. The weatherman said it would be 10-12mph south west but when i got down there it must have been 30mph. Didn't fancy the rocks in that wind and swell so ended up on mumbles pier. what a disaster!!!! within 15 minutes my rod had been blown over and the tip rind decided to part company with the rest of the rod snapping the last half a centimetre off!!!! down to one rod and fished on regardless...for the sum total of one tiny pollack about 7" long which i couldn't even bring myself to livebait for the bass as i was so wind blown and hacked off. got to try and sort the rod out now ready for this weekend off the foreshore with good tides and the chance of an early codling or 2 john, __________________ Catch and Release fishing is a lot like a game of golf. | Re: mumbles pier 21st Good luck for the weekend mate. I have never had much luck off mumbles pier i tend to fish the long arm in port talbot. Just wondring if you could give me some directions to get to cardiff foreshore? I havn't got a clue of many marks cardiff way and i would really like to try and bag myself a few cod this winter.
