Llangennith Beach Tuesday 11th

Had a beautiful day in the sun. Unfortunately the surf report was nowhere near accurate! I was promised 3-4ft steady but instead was confronted by 1ft now and again! lol
It was far from ideal for bass fishing but I continued along the beach in the slim hope of confronting a shoal of golden greys as the tide started to make. This wasnt to be the case and the heat of the early afternoon sun quickly cooked my harbour rag so without any quality bait left I hung my head in shame and retired back to the pub for a fillet steak and a pint of stella.

Not a bad way to spend a day mate, even if the fish weren't playing ball.

Re: Llangennith Beach Tuesday 11th

I love fishing this beach but your right in you need to keep your maddies cool when I was down there last i lined up against people with beach casters and I had just my odssa bass rod.
They were sending there baits to the horizon and me 5 yards past me toes.
one of them shouted he had a dogfish but when I looked it was a baby starry smoothound.
I then had 4 bass brilliant sport and all released to fight another day.

I have got to make time to go and catch those golden greys.

I now keep my maddies in a cool box it's cumbersome but bait stays in tiptop condition

all the best

charlie.....
