1) I have now got a new job as a roughneck on an oilrig 300miles offshore out of Aberdeen. It involves working 3wks on and then 3wks off. IM going back offshore 2moz which is extremely depressing!!! 2) I have bought a house which is further down the coast in deepest loneliest Gower where gas central heating is a new revalation and talk of Broadband was a mystery to many. But I now have internet sorted....and gas!!!! woohoo. So I havent been doing much fishing and didnt have any internet but am getting back into it now! The house is coming along nicely and we have bought a 22ft Pirate with a 225hp Honda strapped to the back of it so have been getting some good fishing in along the way! Had some lovely 8lb-9lb bullhuss a couple of weeks back but the bass remain fairly elusive so far! __________________ South Wales Angling Guide - Shore Angling in South Wales |

That's my dream boat package you just bought. Be very interested to hear your opinions (though a 225hp Honda would maybe be more than I'd go for - scary bit of kit). I reckon the Pirate is the way forward after a Warrior. Steve |

| Re: Boat Report (Sunday) we were considering a warrior when we were looking at smaller vessels and they are lovely boats. the pirate has a nice wide deckspace and obviously more length. we were taken out on a sea trial in the pirate. she does 35knots+ with the 225 on the back and the handling is perfect! little slamming and a flat-out turn she doesnt skip the water at all. honestly cant fault the boat. the engine is rather big!, but for them to put a 150 or 170 on the back the price of the package wasnt going to be any less as we bought their ex-demonstrator. its a vtec and the economy is seemingly the same as the smaller sizes as we require less power to do a decent cruising speed. __________________ South Wales Angling Guide - Shore Angling in South Wales |
