sandeel?????

going down the gower again for the weekend. but this time i'm going to target the bass off the yak with live sandeel

i've got a big bucket (large tile grout bucket) and am wondering if i manage to get half a pound of sandeel will they keep friday night with an airator running under the car ready for fishing saturday morning???

or would it be better to keep in a cool box with a couple of ice blocks and damp paper and transfer to water and airator on saturday morning.

john

In the aireated bucket John, put a frozen cooler block in with em,it`ll slow em down and they should survive the night.

Trying to decide what to do for this weekend, although I fancy another go for the bass the tides are small and big tides tend to fish better or head up towards Aberthaw for the hounds, will wait till Thursday and make my mind up depending on the weather. hope you manage to pick some eels up as they have been very scarce of late, if you feather for some small pollock try using one for a live bait lip hooked on a 3ft trace with 1/2 oz of lead to hold him down, proved it to be a killer on a previous trip could feel them going beserk for about 30 secs before the bass hit them. You should be fine with the eels in the bucket but chuck in the ice block. good luck
