| Not Wales - but a good holiday pic... Hello! Just come back from two weeks in the Seychelles - one week on Mahe and one week on Praslin. I packed a Shimano 10-11ft STC travel spinning rod (just in case....) and a few bits and pieces including a couple of wire traces. I had a theory that at sunset sharks would start patrolling the beach and, to my great pleasure, I was right. The picture shows one of about 5 sharks I caught from my sun lounger over a sundowner beer as the sun went down (at 6 oclock on the dot every night over there). The missus was impressed and the Italian bathers about 15m down the shore surprised! I would recommend the Seychelles to anyone for a lovely holiday and fantastic fishing. KKyum |

| Re: Not Wales - but a good holiday pic... Hello KKyum the airport you landed on was reclaimed from the sea, the old shore line used to be my mothers front garden so to speak as the garden gate opened on to the beach. My uncle (when he was alive) used to catch small shark with a hand line and shoot fruit bats apparently very good in a curry. locals used to go out in their pirog's and land sum big hammerheads on the beach from time to time. I just wish I could get out there as the fishing is excellent charlie.... ![]() __________________ MIB Boat Angling Club |
