oxwich bay 25th

got up early saturday mornin.
not a breath of wind when i arrived at oxwch bay, sun was out for the first time in what seems like ages. Time to take a quick obligatory photo before setting off

I set a prawn trap and went off trolling lures up to the point. Nothing doing, water may have been a bit murky so collect the free offerings of live prawns from the trap and made my way over to the river mouth.
Set up 2 rods 1 with worm and the other with live prawn both had no more than an ounce between them so they kept moving.Nothing much happening until my light spinning rod banged over and stayed there, a quick tussel and my first spikey of the year......all 6ozs of him
nothing was happening so i made my way back to the wreck to see if the wrasse were starting to make an appearance but it wsn't to be, 2 doggies later i called it a day to get back in time for my daughters birthday party.

roll on this weather continuing

john

Question Re: oxwich bay 25th

Is'nt Oxwich bay the place with petrified / fossilised tree stumps in the water? I think I may have been there....
