| Friday Penarth Went out on friday again. A bit lumpy in the strong southerly but it was ok for me inshore. My cousin Jeff and I had rag, Black lug, squid, peelers and prawns to tempt some fish with. We fished the ebb so the current was quite strong. But anchored off the rannie and the first cast produced a nice codling for Jeff on Black Lug. Then I had two on the same pennel on Prawn tipped with squid. Loads of tiddlers for the next couple of hours but no keepers. Then wind over tide started to produce some big swells. The waves started to get higher than the transom with white tops to them so we decided to move inshore a little. Moved to a place that I had marked on my GPS ages ago but never fished it. I thought i`d keep it as an inshore mark for exactly this purpose. Picked up a couple of tiddlers before the last of our days `keepers` fell to rag and peeler on the last cast of the day before the rotten weather closed in. Lots of smaller codling as well which went back to fight another day. A good day out. All the `keepers` were in the 3-3.5lb range again.
