squid jigging

hey guys i was just wondering mow many of you do go squid jigging and what your tactics are

Cant say I've even heard of it.....maybe our mates call it something else. Describe it a bit for us, esp. me in NE.

i think squid jigging, is yousing a plastic weighted shrimp type lure that
has 2 rows of upward pointing metal spikes on it!
this is "jigged" up and down! along come,s mr squid, thinks oh great a nice fat shrimp! raps his tentackles around it and gets all tangle up with the metal spikes!

think this is wot he is talking about!

I've heard of use'n buckets or jars. put'em on the bottom w/a line and a float, the critter finds it, likes it for a home, moves in, and you haul it up b4 it gets out.(???????does it really work?)

That jar thing is for octopus i think

And you use murderers (What geffski described) to catch squid but dunno how or where ... imagine one of them when your spinnin

I've seen them in Greece,horrible looking things.I think Matt Hayes or one the other presenters have one on there show.

As I undertand it the wires tangle in the squids tentacles. Aggressive little buggers squid are, must be Welsh. Agressive that is, hole digging, shut up Pete, thank God your a taff....going to bed soon , work in morning....hole deeper...
