Fishing In florida/ Key West

Due to go to Florida in Feb one week doing the theme parks and then one week in Key West. Plenty of charters as far as I can see on the website and search engines I have found, but my real interst is in small fish than the Big sport fish. Does anyone know about fishing off piers etc for medium Baracudda, Permit fish Etc. Any advice is welcome. I don't have to stick to Key west as I will have a car so if there are other points on the Keys ie Key largo etc. let me know.
