Rescobie and monikie's no real wild fishin tho, more like payin for a "lucky-dip".(get ready for the incoming flack).lol
I fail to understand how anyone can pay good doe to catch(fool) fish that have been put there just for that purpose though.
Have you ever caught any wild fish in rivers? I wish I was like yourself & fish there, but there's that special something missing. Cant put it into words but I'm wondering now,if there's any other anglers feel the same. Prob not.
Oh well, each to their own. Hope ive not sounded too aloof for sayin this. Interested to know how others feel now

Sorry martin but you do sound aloof The gentleman in question was enquiring about a fishery so i thought it would be polite and helpful to point him in that direction if he had asked about river fishing I would have pointed him towards some of the great river fishing we have in the area, but as i,m new to this forum and i thought the whole idea of fishing forums was to promote the sport to everyone in all its forms maybe i have got it wrong
oh and by the way I was brought up fishing the Clyde Tweed Nith Avon all wonderful rivers

What we have to remember is one mans meat is another mans pioson.
I myself have once tried a fishery for rainbows and never went back but there are people who like that type of fishing who think size is everthing and who am I to criticise.
