Club day at Chalk Springs.
A cold start and quite nippy unless fishing in the sunshine .Around 25 fished,so pretty busy.Had one fish very quickly from East lake on white fritz fished fast on sink tip.Went all morning without another sniff,fished all the lakes and kept moving.Pub lunch gave the water a rest and missed three good takes on my return,all on my Jack frost variant fished fast again on sink tip.Lost a very decent fish and ended with one at last knockings from the south lake after missing another three or four.Most had 2/4 fish one or two browns taken,nothing exceptional,best around 5lb.My mate lost an estimated near double after playing it almost to the bank.
Fish seemingly not interested in anything fished slowly or near static,most caught from fishing fast lures in black orange or white
