| Chilly Coltsford Woke up to a heavy frost and when we got to Coltsford there was Ice on both lakes  Had a Sausage and Bacon buttie and a cup of Coffee and was told the rules for the day which was 6 fish for the team and move after getting a fish to give everyone a chance of the hotspots. and the weigh in was at 1.00. Started in the top cascades as all the ice free lake swims were taken. Tried a new style (to me) of Cats Whisker tied with Arctic Fox instead of marabou and was getting interest straight away tried a slow figure of eight retrieve and had a fish on the next cast   Had a look for another swim but everywhere was taken so went back to the cascades and had another fish first cast so went walkabouts again and found my team mate and he went into the spot and had another 2 fish   By then the sun was up enough to disperese most of the ice so we both tried different swims but I couldn't get any interest at all but Pete had 1 in the bottom cascade which gave us second place for the day out of 4 teams but as there are teams fishing tomorrow I don't suppose we will stay 2nd. | Re: Chilly Coltsford It was a Coltsford event, pairs made up of a member and their guest(I was the guest) at £50 for 6 fish its cheaper than their normal rates. I enjoyed my day out even if it was a bit nippy to start with and the fish were in good condition.
