| Syon Park 13/11/11 Had a morning session(4 hours) at Syon today. What a cracking day, temperatures well up,perhaps too bright in reality, but hey it was great to be out.First trip here since December 2009.Started on right hand bank part way along towards bridge and was soon into a fish on a white fritz jobby .Had a few taps here and there on the way up to the bridge and beyond.Changed fly to an orange egg fly and went back down next to bridge where i managed to miss a couple of pulls .Had a small break at 11am(in respect of rememberance day)and resumed just below the bridge and had another rainbow on the egg fly.Worked my way back towards the entrance and had a big hit on the egg and lost the fish almost straight away .No more action so called it a morning.Water very clear but with a stiff easterly breeze no good for spotting fish.A lot of anglers out, some catching, some seemingly struggling somewhat. |
