| Todays trip Wind wasn't as bad as expected , nice and overcast, fish showing all over the bay so why did it take me 4 hours to land a trout??? Had plenty of interest in anything on or near the surface but couldn't connect with them I even had bow-waves chasing a Hotlips surface lure but as soon as I slow the retreive away they went. Then the Sun came out so I put on a couple of Sangsters cast out and put the rod down and got lunch out and had 5 Trout in about 40 minutes, as soon as the Sun went in again all the action stopped. A strange day , the other members who were catching during the morning said they had to change the fly after every fish to keep catching. __________________ Species 2011 = 54 2010 = 44 2008 = 29 2007 = 51 2006 = 44 2007 = 37 2004 = 36 LIFETIME = 70 |

| Re: Todays trip Well done Zee , had days like that too, funny buggers fish . One fishery we were on the water all day...nothing, not even a nibble, then an hour before the close... bang, ended up with 4 each, reeled in the last one just as the manager called time. Almost all taken 4ft down on Montana Nymphs. Ended up a good day for you though, well done again.. |
