A perfect day.

On the river for 6.45am (arrived between showers), I`d decided to fish the same stretch I fished on Sunday. Set up with an 8`0" 4wt rod with the Lamson 3/4wt reel with 3wt DT line ( Remember the Dusky Pink one?) The water was a bit coloured and about a foot higher than Sunday, in other words perfect. Fished upstream with a #16 Snipe and Purple under a #14Bivisible, turned out a good choice as most fell to that fly. Quite a few rises, and 2nd one I covered took the dry, in the middle of a horrendous shower (used the flash to let you see how heavy).

Decided there and then to try the underwater mode (something strange about putting a camera into water, but big breath and here we go), just unsure about the result with the river being coloured.(Forgot the zoom was still engaged)

Most of the fish were about 1/2lb+mark, giving some fight on the light tackle. Most fell to the Snipe and Purple, although the Bivisible did it`s share too. The showers seemed to have joined hands and come down as rain now gee it was wet.

The water was starting to colour badly now, almost making the u/water shots impossible

Last one shows just how coloured the water became.
I`d waded upstream about a mile, so I decided to fish back with a single wet (Yep the #16 Snipe and purple, it tends to bring up the bigger fish in coloured water for some reason), picking off fish on the way back. All in all it was a good session, apart from the showers and spells or rain and totally pleased with the camera. Packed up and home for a hot shower and coffee.
