Runs and pools

Thought I`d try something different for a report on Friday`s session. Lots of trout, biggest of just under 1/2lb, millions of smaller ones (OK, slight exaggeration there), but magic taken on ultra light tackle. Anyway no fish pics this time, just a few of the stretch we fished, hope you like them.

We decided to fish a 1.1/2 mile tree lined stretch that had produced some cracking trout and a couple of salmon overs the last few years. water could do with a foot or so in height, but it was gin clear.

A nice walk along here to top end of the run.

This is where we started from, some nice riffles and pools

This is one of our favourite stretches, it has everything.

He`d stay at that one pool all day if you let him



I picked up a passenger on the way.



4 hours later we ended up at the bottom of this run, and off for some well earned Magners. Noticed there seem to be more deer this year, mild mink and herons. Well that was our Friday evening, cheers

Hi pete only just seen this post,
some fantastic looking water you got up there.
Still no rain down here but just about to go down the river at 5pm with
my nephew then up trout lake a bit later.

Calm and tranquil spot there my friend thats why there is more to fishing than just catching fish well done

Some lovely pools and stretches of river there Peter. The river and banks are looking real good - makes me want to pick up my rod and get out to some water!

Ahhhhhhhhh, Peace and tranquility, I have to get up at 0300hrs for some of that!.
Wish we had something like that down here
