| couple of rainbows Fished my club water yesterday Pen-y-fan pond the weather was bright sun and a bitter cold N.E wind so not the best. Fished with floating line and 3 flies buzzer, cruncher, and a damsel variant casting out with a slow figure of 8 retrieve.  Fished for about 2 hours with out a sniff, then caught 2 in 2 casts both falling for the damsel  Fished on for half hour no more luck. My nephew and is mate were fishing to my left with no luck as i left  He text me later to say they both had 3 fish 1 of which was is first blue. So not a bad day after all.     |

| Re: couple of rainbows The lake is about 12 acres, and about 14 miles from the m4 junction at newport, up the valley towards aplace called Oakdale. Its agreat buzzer water and dry fly water once the weather warms up a bit . |

| Re: couple of rainbows  Well done Jeff, couple of crackers there. Your club water reminds me of some of the hill top tarns up here, looks great. Down the river today (salmon and sea trout), just about to put waders on and realised I`d brought last season`s permit, so a wasted day. Meant to say didn`t your trout season start today? Peter |

| Re: couple of rainbows nice result just got back in from a couple of hours on our club beat (blanked) but good to be out there still a little on the cold side the car temp reading was 3c tried a few buzzers and a couple of dries |
