Usk Reservoir

Hi all, I'm new to the forums.

I'm planning on going to the Usk Reservoir Saturday week with a few friends. Not all are fly fisherman so some will be spinning and worming. I will, however be fly fishing and as I have never fished the Usk before I was after some advice on flies and so on. Also I was wondering on the off chance if there was a boat hire service available there, I've had a quick scan of the internet and haven't found any information on that.

There is no boat hire there i dont think,
but you can pay and put your own boat on there for the season.
My nephew as just started back fly fishing and been up there a
couple of times this here.
He has done really well on a intermediat line and gold head Damsels.

Thanks flyman, I've only recently started back fishing myself, went to Abernant trout farm last weekend and I have the bug back after catching two 3lbs trout in excellent condition.
