Went down the river for a few hours this afternoon, glad I did. No rises visible, so I fished with an ST Gold head #16 under a #14 Bivisible. No joy at all, so I set up two spiders ( a Red Ribbed and a Pearly Pennel ) on droppers and an STGHead on the point, all #16s. Result 2nd cast, then every third or fourth, all good brownies. Nice session to come back to. Haven`t forgotten the Malta fishing photos, still have to upload them to photobucket. Here`s a few from this afternoon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Planning a wee trip next week to one of our favourite fisheries, that overlooks the Firth of Clyde. Peter

Re: Three hours of magic. Hi Baz, just read about the Tiger Nuts, brave fellow taking the nuts off a tiger . Yesterday was a really good session although the first half hour with the dry and g/h didn`t produce anything at all, but it all came together in the end. Holiday was great, caught about 14 different species, but only one on the fly. How`s the fishing down your way? good I hope.Peter ![]() Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Peter ![]()

Hi Jeff, unfortunately they don`t count as it was a solo visit, "although" ---I may just be shading it at the moment. The river tends to come good midway through the season, when the little `uns settle down and don`t grab at anything that moves . I won`t post any Malta photos on the threads, instead I`ve started a Forum album, that I can delete when interest dies down, will post some more a few at a time, so have a look when you have the time. Hope you have a good session later on, you have some great trout down there.Peter ![]()
