| a couple from the Ebbw Finally got out on the river again yesterday, conditions were low and clear with a down stream wind. Fishing with a black sise 14 klinkhammer and a size 16 goldhead hares ear nymph tied to the bend of the klink hook, about 18 inches drop to the nymph. Casting up stream watching the klink for any takes on the nymph, it wasnt long before i was into my1st little brown ,you can just see the nymph in its mouth.  A few fish were riseing to the klink but i was a bit slow, Another 1 came quicklly to the nymph,  You can see the klink in the right hand top corner of the last photo, Fished that pool for an hour catching 4 and quite a few missed. Moved to the next bit of water cast and as soon as the klink hit the water a better fish smashed at it but i was to fast this time. Cast again same happend but this time i had him , not only that a fish of about the same size had taken the nymph as well. The 1 on the nymph got of but i mananed to land 1 of them.  Finished with 8 fish landed,plenty more lost .     |
