A few pics from the river Went down for a few hours this morning, way up past the golf club. Didn`t do too badly, but the river seems full of parr and smolt. Started at a nice bend in the river:- ![]() This fellow decided to make an appearance. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I`ve never used this feature before, apprehensive to say the least.Seemed strange putting a camera into the water. ![]() Nice few hours relaxation, a few nice fish and some practice for tomorrow ![]() Peter ![]()

Re: A few pics from the river Hi Jeff, you`re right it`s a gold head, had just hooked the brownie, and I decided to try the underwater mode, works a treat, but I must remember to switch back to manual afterwards. The rain we had freshened things up a bit, but we still need some more. When`s your next outing? Peter ![]()

Re: A few pics from the river Once again, some great pics by yersel Peter. The river looks lovely, lush green foliage all along the banks too. In that underwater pic, it looks as if the fish is looking right at the camera..lol

Re: A few pics from the river Thanks for the comments again guys. I was a bit disappointed with the first underwater shot, because the water is still a bit coloured from the rainfall. The deer one was taken a while ago, I meant to post it, but couldn`t remember which folder it was in. I actually thought it was someone`s dog at first and by the time I got my camera out, it had almost crossed over, so I had to shoot right away. Peter ![]() Hi Baz, the river`s looking great just now, the paths and trails are almost hidden with foliage, seems that every turn ther are deer. Peter ![]()

Friday night on the river. We decided diplomatically that a draw would be the best result, until the water levels improve. So Friday`s fishing was quite enjoyable and done at a leisurely pace. The water was a little higher than our last outing, but we were still plagued by small brownies and smolt. We`d been fishing a few hours, me on one side of the river and my mate on the other, about 20yds behind me, when rounding a bend, we met two guys float fishing. I say they were float fishing , but the inebriated state they were in, would have made this highly unlikely, as even holding a rod, would have been difficult to say the least. Still we stopped for a while, to chat about fishing and were generously invited to share in their extremely large collection of beverages, which we graciously declined. We enjoyed their company for a half hour or so, but as the light was beginning to fade and we still had a bit to go, we left them and moved on. Hope they got home ok. We only met one other soul all evening:- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don`t know how long that wheel has been in the river, but it looks very old. Peter ![]()
