| Friday night session. Out for the Fri.afternoon/night session, although the water level has dropped dramatically in the last few weeks. It didn`t seem that long ago, since we had snowmelt pouring into the river, from one extreme to another  . Still it wasn`t too bad, at least we took a few each on dries (some of our usual stretches the water was too low for wets), size 16 bivisibles doing most of the damage.    The river looks great ,but would definitely benefit from a couple of days rain.  Peter.    |

Hi Jeff, I think he might just be shading it for the Magners. Had to stop for a while as my fingers and wrist got quite painful late on, but can`t complain, it`s a lot better than it was. Some of the stretches we normally fish, have less than a foot of water, but we`re forecast for heavy rain some time this week. Going sea fishing next Friday, if we don`t get enough rain to raise the levels, we still have a lot of parr and smolt in the system, that fling themselves at anything that moves. Peter. |
