Talking Quarter trout fisher

got up at 9am seen it was a nice day woke my dad up and asked if hey could drop me of so that was it got the gear ready bait rod, fly rod and reels tackle bag, carrier bags, net got there about 10am started with the fly at to top of the pond nothing moved to the bottom of the pond. setting up my bait rod and a fish jumps just in front of me half way between a reed bed and the bank so right a was fly rod in my hand now am just a beginner but my casting goes straight no bundle or tangles fish on play it for a while fish off cast back in as a was about to lift up to re cast a feel a fish plucking at the back of the fly me being a beginner lifted the rod as to strike nothing re cast mixing my retrieve slow then fast then stop then fast etc fish on yet again it comes off now the frustrations kicking in but managed to keep calm and not muck up my cast re cast fish on this time in the net first of my limit stayed in the same spot but casting in a fan shape all the time yet again fish pulling at the fly then nothing so change of fly was in order yellow dancer as the water was brown first cast fish on yet again fish off 5mins later fish on and in the net 2nd of my limit. thought change of place was needed as it went quiet round to the side of the reed bed cast in 4 times fish on and in the net had 3 fish 4 fish off and a few fish plucking at the fly. so onto catch and release had a few casts and was forced to call it quits as my rod tip broke
