Ebbw on the dry fly

Went down the syrhowy 1st, river now getting abit low and clear
struggled managed 1 smalltrout on the gold head nymph.
So packed up and headed for the Ebbw river .
It was about 12.3o when i arrived nice and warm with a slight down
stream wind.
Didnt have much time so headed for a pool were they normally rise.

There was plenty of flys about so i put on a dark olive klinkhammer on made afew feeble casts up stream .
there was plenty rising beside my fly but didnt want to no my fly.
Changed to a size 14 black f fly first cast into this fish.


Missed a few more then caught this little silver 1 getting ready
to go to sea i think.

Still plenty riseing when i left , but got to pick the boy up from school

Cracking fish Jeff, you sure know how to rub it in. 10 days to go before I can wet a line, I didn`t realise there were so many open days for brown trout fishing. Well done again my good man. Peter
