Day at the Club water

Been up to have a look at my clubs water today. I arrived at about 12 ish. The weather was bright with quite a chilly moderate wind. When i arrive i did as i normally do, sit down have a brew and study the water for any clues as to what is going on. I sat for about 15 min and i saw no sighns of life. after asking a few other members they had not had a nibble? So i decided that i needed to get down deep if to have any chance of a take. so i riged a rod up with a indicator so i could fish some of my self tied buzzers static. i used a tippet about 12 foot and set my indicator to 6" knowing i could increase my depths if needed about 10 mins later i decided that the fish were really deep so up to 10" went the indicator. 3 mins later bam! a great scrap and a text book landing number 1 @ 3lbs shortly after num 2 @ 2lb then nothing for quite a while? so i decided that the water temp must have rose a bit, so i set the indicator up 2" and tried one of the new Okey Dokey buzzers i had bought, nowt, so up another 2" Bam! number 3 @ 3lb. things are still not looking better for any of the other guys? all went quiet for about an hour. So i walked round to one of the inlets and set a rod up on a sinker Di5, and popped on one of my self tied lures, a flu green hot head with a black and fritz body, black marubou tail. 2nd cast after a count of 20 sec sink, Bam! number 4 about 2.5lb did not weight it i had my limit so quickly got her back in.

These Three were caught on Buzzers.

This was the one caught on my lure.

Yeah i do flyman. it great tying because you can get a pattern from a book or mag and addapt it to the style that the fish in your water tend to like. you know what i mean like i have fished different waters with the same style of lure buzzers ect some coulors work at one place and not another? weired int it. yeah i seem to be getting some of attension from the other club members. asking what i had been using, when i tell them they ask me where did you get them from? yeah its fun all round as you know, at home and on the water. tight lines m8.
