Stream Fishing Hi all I am on holiday in the Eden Valley in Cumbria and there is a small stream close to our campsite where I have seen brownies. What are the best tactics for enticing these little gems? Thanks Mark

Very small dark flies (Wet or Dry) usually work for me on small upland streams. Black Gnats or small Pheasant tails, tied on a heavy hook. Small Goldhead Hares Ears are also a good general pattern if you're not sure what to try. Try to match the hatch too. Also check out under rocks & stones to see what nymphs are hiding there. Good luck. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...

Re: Stream Fishing Small midge patterns are aces, and as Greenheart has suggested black gnats.
