Smoothound Sea Fishing trip

Well what a day wight Huntress gosport
Gus downsouth andyg me and peter

We all meet up at 7.am ( well almost all of us )

Steamed for about 40 mins to the first mark

Gus broke out his secret rigs for the boys and we were off - Gus got the first smoothound and soon everyone was battling with the great fighting fish which were all catch on hermit crab flowing trace

Smoothound - 19 - 7 to 9lb

To be trueful I do not know

there were only a few near 9lb mark and as we all quickly unhooked the fish and returned them it was hard to tell - probably gus but I do not think there was much in it

Oh mine looks bigger in the picture ( or is that because I am pointing it at the camera )

i think they're all smoothounds, i find tope and smoothound look completely different

well, obviously they don't look completely different, they're the same sort of species, i've never even seen some of the species in the sea..
