 West Bexington 22/06/07 Haven't fished West Bexington for 2 years now, so my Dad and brother decided it would be good to get up early, all meet there and attempt to fish. My Brother is on paternity leave, expecting his first, and hasn't fished for years! 05:30 hrs was the ETA. Parking cost 30p until 08:00 hrs, then £3.20 for 4hrs or £4.80 for the day! We were the only people there, and after a stormy few evenings, we were suprised not to see more! Set up with a clip down, with a whole squid on and two hook flapper on the other rod with rag and squid. My Dad and Brother were on the feathers trying drag something out! (anything by 10:30hrs) Not a sign of anything! Then my (clip down) rod bent double! Struck into something of size, because I went flying down the beach! (silly me, had the clutch set on full) After a nice fight pulled in this:  Weighed in at 8 3/4lb! My first ever Smoothhound! Very chuffed! Dad and Bro had nought, great day for me!!!!!      |
