 Can anyone teach me to make flies? hi everyone. I'm really interested in learning how to make flies. it's not actually for fishing reasons but artistic ones, the examples i have seen are so intricate and beautiful and i would like to be able to attempt to create such things myself. is there anyone in the falmouth area of cornwall who makes flies and would be willing to show me how? I would very much appeciate it     |

| Re: Can anyone teach me to make flies? Hi Alice, Welcome to the forum. I have checked the Fly Dressers Guild web site and there are no branches near you. I suggest that you give your local fishing tackle shop a call and maybe they can point you in the right direction. I hope this helps. |

| Re: Can anyone teach me to make flies? Its a lot of fun, I think you'll like it. Just like fishing too, theres AlwayS more to learn. If all else fails, get a vice, some materials, a pattern book and try to copy the pix. There are no rules carved in stone. With beginners luck you may come up w/the next greatest fly pattern.
